This Mardi Gras, Interrobang brings you interactive bugs. We hope to trap your attention and through our throws, invite you to learn more about the local insects that surround us. We channel the surreal influence of Hieronymus Bosch to create a “triptych” of heavenly, earthly, and hell-ish delights. Let there be bugs.

Interrobang ‽ is a parading krewe and collaborative creative arts group based in New Orleans, La.
INTERROBANG PARADING KREWE has been enriching New Orleans’ parade and nightlife culture since 2014. We are a creative collective of builders, dreamers, movers, and shakers. Our mission is to tear apart the chasms of our shared subconscious and pour the contents of those skulls out in the form of imaginative floats, massive parties, and immersive art and music experiences. Our dedication to sharing and shaping public art is only eclipsed by our reverence for the forebears of New Orleans costume, procession, and societé traditions. Jump in, turn on.

The Times Picayune Arts Writer Doug MacCash wrote a wonderful and flattering article about Interrobang and Gilliam after our debut in Carnival 2015. “Thar she rolls! One of the most magical moments of Mardi Gras 2015 so far was the appearance of “Gilliam” the mysterious white whale float during the Feb. 7 Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus science fiction parade.”
